All On Call Communications Fly Away Antennas are fully automated.  What does that mean?  Once assembled the antenna uses an on-board compass and GPS to determine where it is in relation to the satellite, point to the satellite and do its cros-pol and peak operations automatically saving you the time and effort of manually finding the satellite and calling in for a manual cros-pol and peak.

How will automated satellite  affect your operation? 

Automated setup is much faster than manual setup and can be performed by non-technical operators.  That means you won't have to send a satellite engineer out into the field to establish communications for your working team.  Satellite communications can be quickly and easily established by virtually any member of your field team and then the automated system lets them focus on their primary responsibilities.


How long does it take to  assemble a portable FlyAway Antenna?

Several flyaway antenna models are available with varying amounts of assembly required.  Set up time ranges from less than five minutes to about 15  minutes.  Lightweight, intuitive, toolless assemblies help you get on air quickly. 


How many people does it take to set up a fly away antenna? 

That depends a bit on which model you choose and how large and strong you are.  We have ultra lightweight fly away antennas that can easily be set up by someone of virtually any size and antennas up to 2 meters which, of course, require larger, heavier components.  Having a helper can speed the process up a bit and make it easier to assemble some of the larger models.

Do you know your average and peak traffic upload and download usage?  Are you implementing Wide Area Network Acceleration (WANX) to get the fastest data transport with the lowest operating costs?  Our experienced engineers review your current and future data, video and voice capacity needs to maximize your communications value.
  • Available satellite bandwidth:  Do you have existing satellite bandwidth you want to operate on? or would you like us to source a satellite service for you?  On Call will calculate a link budget to make certain that your hardware is adequate to provide the required throughput in most weather conditions and throughout your desired operating region.
