On Call Communications and VideoLink Offer Free Live News Feeds From the NAB Show 2010 in Las Vegas

On Call invites networks, news stations and media professionals to test the QuickSPOTä Satellite News Gathering System with a free live shot which can be delivered to their studio. 

 

Foothill Ranch, CA (April 8, 2010) On Call Communications and VideoLink have combined forces to create a Live satellite news studio at the NAB 2010 show featuring the VideoLink ReadyCam Studio camera  and the QuickSPOT Satellite News Gathering System.    From Outdoor Media and Equipment booth OE 910, news professionals and industry experts will be able to give live, two way interviews from the NAB show floor.   Feeds can be delivered to The Switch Los Angeles or All Mobile Video in Carterette, New Jersey.

The QuickSPOT satellite news gathering system features high quality MPEG-4  standard definition video encoding with low latency for comfortable interview conversation.   Mobile office features such as IFB compatible phone lines and internet access are integrated into the SNG system, making it a perfect companion for VideoLink's remotely operated ReadyCam system.   

 

On Call will also demonstrate a high definition MPEG-4 SNG system and the ThinKom ThinSat in-motion satellite antenna.  Thin-Sat offers in-motion upload speeds of up to 10 Mb/s.   On Call will be transmitting and receiving live standard definition MPEG-4 video from the ThinSat antenna at NAB.

On Call Communications Offers NAB Show Financing Specials on Satellite News Gathering Systems

Financing special reduces the cost of SNG system ownership to comparable with the cost of renting a satellite truck once a month.

The NAB special offers a complete satellite news gathering system and includes a vehicle mount antenna, baseband electronics, MPEG-4 video encoder, Audio/Video monitor, 2 voice lines and internet access.  For the receive side it includes a studio receive electronics system and MPEG-4 decoder.  Packages are available in both high definition and standard definition and can be customized.

WEAU-TV (Eau Claire, WI) Showcases their new QuickSPOT system to SBE Chapter December-16-2013 December-16-2013

Society of Broadcast Engineers Picnic featuring QuickSPOT SNG satellite system
On September 3rd, Todd Ritchie and Ron Viste of WEAU (Eau Claire, WI) hosted Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) Chapter 112 of Western Wisconsin for their annual steak picnic, which provided a great opportunity for the station to showcase their new QuickSPOT vehicle.

On Call Communications sprung into action again in support of CBS News in Haiti providing live and taped video feeds, internet access and phone lines for their news teams covering the earthquake using the QuickSPOT satellite news gathering system.
